I spent 17 years in pharmaceutical research managing up to director level. It’s here that I gained my hands-on managerial experience and developed a keen interested in what makes people tick. I learnt how, with the right support, just about everyone can do the best they can and gain satisfaction out of what they do.
In order to gain an official badge for the work I was doing in practice I studied for my MBA alongside my departmental director role, graduating in 2007. This study path gave me the confidence and further insight to take a leap into the consultancy world in 2005 setting up Enhance People Consultants where I have been since.
I have the pleasure of working with great people and organisations across a broad range of sectors to help them to do the best they can and have a great time doing it. I am qualified in the use of a range of Psychometric behavioural tools and am an accredited coach, with the Association for Coaching.
In my free time I am Board Director on a local charity, WHALE Arts Agency which supports young people through arts based activities. I also do volunteer coaching with Positive Realities, working with young carers from challenging family backgrounds to support them to realise their own needs and aspirations. I am a keen (although not fast) runner and enjoy the outdoors in general. I’m also a Yorkshire lass which in my mind, even if in no one else’s, is a good thing!
